Party Planning

The Halloween folder in my saved posts on Instagram is bursting with ideas for freaky finger foods. This week I’m deciding what I’ll make for our annual October birthdays/Halloween party. I’m using the word party loosely since the group will be much smaller this year, for multiple reasons. Instead of being disappointed that only a few people can make it, I’m looking at it as an opportunity to experiment with treats I want to make but maybe wouldn’t be my choice if I were serving a lot of people.

I already have cups, plates, utensils, and a black tablecloth all of which I purchased super cheap at the thrift. The house has been decorated for days now, so all that’s left to do is pick some fun treats to make. Here are the ones I’m most interested in…

  1. Baked Apple Cider Donuts
  2. Peanut Butter and Chocolate Balls
  3. Pumpkin Panna Cotta
  4. Graveyard Trifle
  5. Pumpkin Cheeseball
  6. Witchy Cheese and Meat Board
  7. Autumn Stew

Whatever I don’t end up making for the party I plan to make just for fun between now and Thanksgiving. Do you have a favorite party food you like to serve this time of year?

Next up! A spooky playlist. I’d like to think that I could come up with an amazing playlist of my own but in case I don’t find the time between now and October 17th when we have our mini-bash, I would love to hear your favorite creepy songs. Maybe you already have a Halloween playlist you’d like to share with me on Spotify? Let me know below!
